The JavaTM Development Kit (JDK) lets you write applets and applications that conform to the Java Core API.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure you understand the Copyright and License information before using this release.
If you are using Netscape, your CLASSPATH environment variable might be set
to something like CLASSPATH=/usr/local/lib/netscape/30.
If so, change your setting to something like this:
CLASSPATH=.:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib/netscape/30
If you are not currently setting CLASSPATH, you do not need to set it.
To run the HotJava browser, you also need to:
THREADS_FLAG=native because our port of the JDK uses native
threads, while the solaris JDK uses green threads.
JDK_HOME to the location where java was installed; by default,
it is / (the root directory). /usr might also work.
